I asked Kara to tell me about the vows she is writing. Her and Josh are getting married in a few short weeks and we decided to get together just to get comfortable and play with the camera a bit before the big day. She began to talk about it and her entire energy field changed. She went into the depths of her understanding of what her and Josh share and it was truly beyond words in that moment for her. She told me she knew the moment their eyes met that he was the one and that they couldn't stop staring at each other when they realized who the other was. It brings me to tears to even think about the way she described it now. As she was talking, Josh stood there, in this unwavering connection but with an heir of lightness, playfulness, and pride about him. She mentioned that it was one of the best qualities about him. His ability to keep it light and then they swayed together under the evergreens and I worked on keeping my eyes from leaking so I could capture it all through the lens. There is something between these two that makes me want to laugh with intense joy and excitement. There is a beauty, a liveliness, a sexiness about these two that inspires those who get the chance to share in whatever they are actually up to. It is hard to tell, to be honest, because it is utterly between them. Something they are in on together. It's expressed in whispers and laughter and movement and I am honored to have seen it at all.
